Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Takiez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anthony John is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takiez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but John swivels and escapes.
John looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Takiez shoots in for a takedown but John shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Takiez tries to score a power double leg takedown but John sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Takiez somewhat.

John shoots in looking for a takedown. Takiez tries to sprawl out of it but John keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Takiez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Takiez lands a big elbow - John is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Takiez!

After the fight, Jake Takiez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
