The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Istaz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Griffin.
Istaz scoring well with a low kick there.
Istaz scores with a shot to the body.
Griffin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Istaz can pounce on him.
Karl Istaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Griffin is defended easily by Istaz.
Istaz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Griffin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Istaz scoring well with a low kick there.
Griffin tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Istaz lands a big head kick that sends Griffin tumbling to the mat! Istaz takes a step backwards and waves Griffin back to his feet - he wants the finish!
