PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jolly Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Hague (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giant's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Final Hour. Hague is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by UFC - Face the Pain. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Hague !
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hague uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Giant.
Hague checks a leg kick.

Giant closes the distance and clinches.

Giant breaks from the clinch.
Hague takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Giant lands with a kick to the temple. Hague shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Tim Hague has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hague closes the distance and clinches up with Giant, looking for a takedown. Hague pushes Giant against the cage but Giant circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Giant lands with a right hand.
Hague slips a straight right by Giant.
Hague shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Giant moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Hague avoids the head kick by Giant.
Giant does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Hague throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Giant tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hague is in Giant's guard.

Giant is looking to stand up but Hague isn't so interested in that idea.

Hague drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Giant dives on top into guard.
Giant looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Hague looking for a guillotine here but Giant defends easily.
Giant slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Giant avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hague has his foot on Giant's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Giant works his way back into a safe position though.

Giant decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hague will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jolly Giant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Hague .

Hague looks gassed!
An inside leg kick lands from Giant.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Giant feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hague sprawling to the canvas! Hague rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Giant finish him?!

Hague is rocked!
Jolly Giant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hague has his takedown stuffed
and Giant counters with a big left hand that crumples Hague ! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
