Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Lotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lotus might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of the tiger. Mendez has chosen Trap Door as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lotus shoots in and gets a takedown into Mendez's guard.
Mendez throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Mendez controlling the position.
Lotus stays in close to Mendez's body and controls the position.
Mendez has his foot on Lotus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lotus works his way back into a safe position though.
Mendez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lotus is one step ahead there.
Mendez is looking for a triangle but Lotus pushes his legs off easily.
Lotus wants to stand but Mendez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mendez is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lotus has his hands clasped together but Mendez extends an breaks Lotus's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mendez.
