The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson shoots in but no luck this time.
Nelson misses with a takedown attempt
and Lawson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nelson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lawson.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lawson as he avoids it easily.
Julius Lawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Nelson.
Lawson lands with a shot to the body.
Lawson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nelson.

Lawson leaves Nelson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fighters circling - Lawson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lawson missing with a left hand there. Nelson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lawson throws a shot from downtown. Nelson moves away and avoids it.

Lawson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nelson moves away.
Lawson looks to land a left hand but Nelson moved out of range nicely.

Lawson throws a lazy right hand but Nelson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lawson digs a good body shot into Nelson's ribs.
Nelson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Julius Lawson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lawson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Lawson drops Nelson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nelson looks back up at him and smiles so Lawson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Nelson is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lawson flashes Nelson a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Nelson's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Nelson crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Lawson punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
