Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruiner Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Puppy Love (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnett comes to the cage accompanied by canceled forever. Love is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Otherside by Mackemore X Ryan Lewis. Ruiner Barnett has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Love throws an off balance right hand
and Barnett counters with a good low kick that Love was not able to check.
Love throws a shot from downtown. Barnett moves away and avoids it.
Love shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barnett as he avoids it easily.
Love throws a body punch but Barnett moves out of range.

Love just misses with a punch to the body.
Barnett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Love checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Love doesn't manage to clinch there - Barnett circles away.

Love paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Love is trying hard to land a takedown here. Barnett sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Barnett throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Barnett shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Love sprawls well. Love wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barnett gets slowly back to his feet.

Barnett leaves Love with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ruiner Barnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Puppy Love.

Love shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barnett pinned against the cage. Barnett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnett lands with a straight right. Love didn't see that one coming.
Puppy Love seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Barnett counters with a stiff right hand.
Barnett fakes the leg kick and cracks Love in the body.
A clash of legs there as Love blocks the low kick.

Love looks gassed!

Barnett stuns Love with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Barnett goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Love throws the left hand but Barnett avoids the punch easily.

and Barnett counters with a nice body kick.
Barnett shoots in looking for a takedown but Love manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Barnett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Love has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Barnett.
Love might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Love fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnett manages to avoid it.

Love feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Barnett is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Love defends well.
Love postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Barnett has his foot on Love's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Love works his way back into a safe position though.

Barnett is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Love frees his head nicely. Oh but Barnett has switched to an armbar! Love is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
