Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Davola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chronic Kronic!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davola tries for a takedown but Kronic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Davola takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kronic fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Davola checks it well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kronic is defended easily by Davola.
Kronic shoots in looking for a takedown. Davola tries to sprawl out of it but Kronic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davola manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Davola throws a leg kick but Kronic moved away.
Davola shoots in but Kronic avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice takedown defense from Kronic. No joy for Davola on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Davola. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kronic walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.


It looks like Chronic Kronic has been cut.
Davola misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Joe Davola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Davola shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kronic's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kronic wants to stand and escape but Davola is having none of it.
Davola has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Davola cracks Kronic with a solid left hand.

Kronic pushes Davola off and scrambles back to his feet.
Kronic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Davola.
Kronic cracks Davola with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Davola tries for a takedown but Kronic circles away easily

and Kronic counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Davola!
Kronic lands a big elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kronic scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Davola in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Kronic loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Davola scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kronic land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kronic stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chronic Kronic!
