The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brajka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soto is squirming around, avoiding Brajka's attempts to control the action.

Soto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brajka pulls his head out easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Brajka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Soto slips a jab and a cross from Brajka.

Soto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brajka's guard.

Soto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brajka doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Soto.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Brajka. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Soto is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brajka defends it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Soto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brajka has escaped the position, nice work there.

Soto has hold of Brajka's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Brajka tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Soto cranks the arm and Brajka screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Brajka, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
