Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tonio Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Just Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortega kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fight to Survive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Case lands with a right hand.
Case jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ortega swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ortega lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Case circles away quickly and effectively.
Case shoots in but Ortega avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice sprawl there from Ortega as Case shoots in.
Case slips a jab and a cross from Ortega.
Case throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Case throws a series of punches but Ortega moves out of range.
Ortega throws a head kick but Case moves out of range.
Ortega moves in looking to clinch but Case pushes him off.
Ortega tries to clinch there but Case circles away.
Ortega slips a jab from Case.
Case throws an overhand right that lands on Ortega's shoulder, as Ortega tries to avoid the shot.
Ortega lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Case bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ortega's head backwards.

Ortega misses with a few strikes there.
Ortega blocks a jab.
Case getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Case circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ortega tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Case was well out of range. Poor timing from Ortega.

Ortega closes the distance and clinches.
Ortega utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Ortega tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Case just stands there and leans against the cage.

Ortega gets control of Case's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ortega will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Ortega has control of Case's left arm, preventing Case from doing any damage.

Ortega trying to keep a closed guard but Case is proving a slippery customer.

Tonio Ortega has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Case moves out of range of the body kick.
Ortega moves in looking to clinch but Case pushes him off.
Ortega fails to land with a series of punches.
Ortega will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Case moves away from the strike by Ortega.
Ortega throws a series of punches but Case avoids them all with ease.
Tonio Ortega is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Case throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ortega tries to clinch up.

Case tries to land a leg kick but Ortega saw it coming and moves away.
Case throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ortega's waist but Ortega gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Case off to one side.
Tonio Ortega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Just Case.
Nice uppercut lands for Case. That snapped Ortega's head back.

Case feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ortega manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Case stops Ortega from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Ortega looking to control and managing it successfully.
Ortega wants to control the pace but Case is squirming around nicely.

Ortega throwing strikes here but Case is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Case tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Case is controlling an arm, preventing Ortega from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Case wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Ortega controlling the position easily from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Case is trying to stand up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Case is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Ortega throws a series of punches but Case moves out of range.

Case misses with a straight left.
Ortega throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Case counters with a nice body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ortega misses with a few strikes there.

Ortega gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Case sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ortega's guard.

Case tries to pass to full mount but Ortega defends it.
Case prevents Ortega from improving his position.
Case tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Ortega.
Ortega might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Case is pressing down on Ortega's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ortega is holding on for now.
Ortega has his hands clasped together around Case's back. He's all about the action.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Case shoots in looking for a takedown but Ortega manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Case's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Case counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Oh Ortega is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Case throws a powerful right kick. Ortega tried to block low but the kick was high! Ortega was taken right off of his feet! Case jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Just Case!
A relieved looking Just Case thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
