The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ionescu shoots for a double leg takedown but Mon sprawls well. He's pushed Ionescu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ionescu fails with the takedown.
Ionescu shoots in looking for a takedown. Mon tries to sprawl out of it but Ionescu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dk Mon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gica Ionescu.
Mon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Gica Ionescu has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Mon counters with a crisp right hand that drops Ionescu! Mon lets Ionescu back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Mon shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Ionescu takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Mon sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Ionescu bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
