Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mags Mina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arron Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Reid looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from Reid.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reid. Mina does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mina takes a kick to the side of the head.
No joy there for Reid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Reid closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Reid tries to score a body lock takedown but Mina shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Reid looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Reid throws a series of punches but Mina moves out of range.
Reid swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reid is looking to clinch.
Reid throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mina.
Nice takedown defense from Reid. No joy for Mina on that attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mina.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Reid looks gassed!
Mina seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Reid for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mags Mina just wasn't active enough.

so Mina counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mina controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Mags Mina has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Mina shoots in looking for a takedown. Reid tries to sprawl out of it but Mina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reid manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Reid throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Reid lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mina has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mina and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mina.
Arron Reid is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
