Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julius Ceasar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Ruttijn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Ruttijn has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Julius Ceasar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julius Ceasar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Ruttijn!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Ceasar.
Ceasar lands a head shot.
Ruttijn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ceasar to score with a decent uppercut.
Ceasar throws a leg kick which misses Ruttijn's front leg but catches the back leg as Ruttijn tries to avoid it.
Ruttijn throws a right hand that misses
and Ceasar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Julius Ceasar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ceasar clinches with his opponent.
with the fighters clinched against the cage, Ceasar creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Ruttijn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ceasar paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ceasar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ceasar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ruttijn.
Ruttijn should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ruttijn is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ceasar wants to clinch
and Ruttijn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Ceasar thows a body shot but no joy.
Ceasar scores with a head kick.
Ruttijn throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ceasar cracks the inside of Ruttijn's front leg.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ceasar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ruttijn throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ceasar counters with a body kick.
Ceasar wants to clinch up but Ruttijn keeps it at a distance.
Ceasar is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

and Ruttijn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ceasar darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ceasar catches Ruttijn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ceasar buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ceasar gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ceasar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ruttijn for as long as he can get away with.
Ceasar passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ruttijn!

Ceasar content just to control the position here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ceasar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Julius Ceasar just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Ceasar throws out a powerful jab.

Ceasar jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ceasar wants to clinch up but Ruttijn keeps it at a distance.
Good standup being displayed there by Ceasar as he connects with a hook.
Ceasar fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ceasar lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ruttijn looks gassed!
Ruttijn staying out of range there.
Ceasar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ruttijn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ruttijn throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd cheers as Ceasar lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ruttijn doesn't seem phased though.
Ceasar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ceasar tries to clinch but Ruttijn moves out of range.
Ceasar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ruttijn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ruttijn takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Ceasar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ruttijn has time to react.
A jab from Ceasar does it's job there.
Ceasar lands with a kick to the temple. Ruttijn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Ceasar works the jab nicely.

Ceasar gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Ceasar lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Ceasar will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ruttijn up against the cage.
Ceasar pushes Ruttijn back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Ruttijn manages to break the clinch.
Ceasar shoots for a takedown but Ruttijn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Ruttijn counters with a straight right hand.

Ceasar is looking to clinch.
Ceasar is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Ruttijn misses with an uppercut
and Ceasar counters with an outside leg kick.
Ceasar throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ruttijn keeps the fight on the outside.
Ceasar throws a right and a left that Ruttijn avoids nicely.
Ceasar throws a looping overhand right but Ruttijn ducks down to avoid it.
Ceasar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Horrible takedown by Ceasar or perhaps it was just good defense by Ruttijn which made him look bad.

A lull in the action here as Ceasar stalls from top position.
Ceasar is looking to take a break and control but Ruttijn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ruttijn wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Ceasar fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Ruttijn seems a little lost for a moment, as Ceasar dominates the positioning.
Ceasar trying to control the position but Ruttijn is working away.
You can see the frustration on Ruttijn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ceasar lands a decent elbow from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Julius Ceasar dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ruttijn will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ceasar dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ruttijn. That did some damage!

Ceasar will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ruttijn up against the cage.

Come on Ceasar - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Ceasar lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Ceasar's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Ceasar lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ruttijn backwards.
Ceasar scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ceasar comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ceasar pushes Ruttijn back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ceasar stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Still in the clinch, Ceasar scores with a nice short uppercut.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Julius Ceasar.

Ceasar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Ruttijn is trying to break the clinch but Ceasar has him pressed against the cage.
Ceasar has Ruttijn pressed against the cage.
Ruttijn is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ceasar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ceasar landing knees to the body.
Ceasar lands a nice elbow.

Ruttijn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ceasar ducks straight into an uppercut from Ruttijn and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Ceasar maanges to regain guard straight away.

Ruttijn slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Oh Ceasar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ruttijn stands up from Ceasar's guard - Ruttijn perhaps looking for a knockout.

Ruttijn defending well as Ceasar loads up on a big left hand.
Ceasar throws the kick towards the body but Ruttijn avoids it.
Ceasar seems to have got his legs back now.
Ruttijn tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Ceasar counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ruttijn's knee momentarily.
Ceasar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ruttijn throws a lazy uppercut
and Ceasar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ceasar tries to clinch
and Ruttijn counters with a crisp right that sends Ceasar to the canvas! Ruttijn follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
