Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Safire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregor Samsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Samsa does no damage.

Safire clinches.
Safire blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Safire lands an elbow inside that Samsa shrugs off.

It looks like Gregor Samsa has been cut.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Safire is on top in guard.

Samsa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Safire got a little sloppy there for a moment and Samsa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Safire has managed to get both his arms back between Samsa's legs - danger averted.

Samsa looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Safire has picked Samsa up and slammed him! Samsa can't keep hold of the triangle and Safire manages to pass to side control!
Samsa wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Samsa is looking to regain half guard here but Safire keeps moving and retains side control.
