Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ghirardi.
Kent closes the distance and clinches up with Ghirardi, looking for a takedown. Kent pushes Ghirardi against the cage but Ghirardi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ghirardi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kent fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kent throws a lazy right hand but Ghirardi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Michael Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kent throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ghirardi moves into the clinch successfully.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kent.
Ghirardi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Kent holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Ghirardi is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kent pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Ghirardi drags the fight down to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kent is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kent lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ghirardi wants to sweep but no luck.
Ghirardi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kent with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kent trying to control but Ghirardi is working from the bottom.

Ghirardi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kent is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kent pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ghirardi is keeping the position for now.
Kent trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Kent thows a big elbow that misses.
Kent wants to control from the top but Ghirardi keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Michael Kent wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kent throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kent lands with a shot to the body.
Ghirardi is breathing heavily.
Kent scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ghirardi tries to close the distance and clinch but Kent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ghirardi takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kent connects with a right hand. Ghirardi shakes it off.

Kent shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ghirardi's guard.
Kent connects with a couple of short punches.

Ghirardi is rocked!
Kent arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ghirardi's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
