The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stride lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tannen at a distance.
Stride avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tannen misses with a takedown attempt - Stride sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stride scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tannen misses with a head kick.
Stride swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tannen counters with a right hand to the body.

Stride rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tannen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jasper Stride seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tannen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stride looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Stride pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Stride tries to work over Tannen's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Tannen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stride is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Tannen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stride just stands there and leans against the cage.

Tannen wants the takedown. Stride is fighting it off but Tannen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stride's guard against the cage.

Stride lands a really nice looking cross but Tannen seems unphased.

It looks like Buford Tannen has been cut.
Stride fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Tannen to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Tannen looks to clinch but Stride throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Tannen taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
