The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Odenkirk takes the fight into the clinch.

Kimura has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Odenkirk regains guard immediately.

Kimura passes Odenkirk's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kimura stalling away here and it's allowed Odenkirk to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Kimura is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Odenkirk sees it coming and defends easily.

Kimura is looking for a kimura but Odenkirk is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kimura to get the leverage.

Kimura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Odenkirk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kimura.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kimura is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Odenkirk has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Helio Kimura dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kimura misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kimura circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cross Odenkirk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Odenkirk comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Odenkirk moves into the clinch.
Kimura changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Odenkirk fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Odenkirk connects with the punch.


It looks like Helio Kimura has been cut.

and Odenkirk counters with a huge head kick that drops Kimura! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cross Odenkirk!
Cross Odenkirk is the new light heavyweight champion!
After winning the bout, Cross Odenkirk thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
