Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macedo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Macedo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Macedo tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.

Macedo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Macedo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and Macedo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between Macedo's legs - danger averted.

Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jones darts in and clinches Macedo up against the cage.

Macedo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jones stands up from Macedo's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.

Macedo gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.

Jones pushes Macedo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Jones dips a shoulder and cracks Macedo with a mighty uppercut! Macedo falls back against the cage and Jones unloads with a barrage of strikes! Macedo is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Jones screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
