The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatum scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Andrei Berdugo has been cut.
A combination from Tatum does no damage.
Berdugo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tatum.

Tatum ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Berdugo moves away.
Berdugo shoots in for a takedown but Tatum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Berdugo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tatum looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tatum looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tatum!
Tatum is looking to take a break and control but Berdugo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Berdugo is pressing down on Tatum's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tatum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Berdugo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Berdugo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Tatum throws a series of punches but Berdugo moves out of range.

Berdugo shoots in for a double leg but Tatum sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The cut above Andrei Berdugo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Drederick Tatum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tatum ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Tatum lands a nice shot that snaps Berdugo's head back.
Berdugo defending well as Tatum loads up on a big left hand.
Berdugo dives in and grabs Tatum's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tatum pushes down on Berdugo's head and hops out.
Berdugo finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Tatum's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Berdugo falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

In his post fight interview, Drederick Tatum started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
