Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokyo Drift!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Volga Overstreet!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drift closes the distance and pushes Overstreet back into the cage.
Drift trying to control the position but instead, Overstreet has worked for underhooks and has pushed Drift into the cage.
Overstreet tries to stall but Drift uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Drift lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Volga Overstreet has been cut.
Overstreet stalling in the clinch but Drift improves position.
Drift misses with an elbow over the top.
Overstreet misses with a hook to the ribs.
A knee to the head by Drift.
Drift throws an elbow that misses.

Drift pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Overstreet looks to land a right hand but Drift moved out of range.
Overstreet changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Overstreet closes the distance and clinches.
Drift misses with some punches.
Drift connects with a knee to the head.
Overstreet works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Drift with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drift takes a shot to the head.
Overstreet is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Drift lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Drift keeps control of Overstreet as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Drift as Overstreet tries to tie him up.
Overstreet tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Drift looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Overstreet takes a knee right on the jaw!
Drift blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Overstreet wants to break free but Drift has control.
With the fighters up against the cage, Drift throws an elbow but misses.
Overstreet tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Overstreet lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Drift backwards.
Drift tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Overstreet just stands there and leans against the cage.
Overstreet tries to circle away but Drift has him pinned against the cage.
Drift stalling the fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Drift tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Overstreet wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Drift tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Drift is breathing heavily.
Overstreet stops a takedown attempt from Drift.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tokyo Drift. That's going to take a lot out of him.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Overstreet creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Overstreet is looking to control Drift's arms but Drift gets an underhook and turns him. Now Overstreet has his back to the cage.
Drift manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Overstreet wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Overstreet working some nice short punches in the clinch.


Drift is rocked!
Overstreet creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Drift with a big uppercut! Drift tries to clinch up but Overstreet pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Drift to the mat! Drift covers up and Overstreet unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Volga Overstreet!
