Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Ferreira.

It looks like Victor Soares has been cut.
Ferreira scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Soares shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ferreira as he avoids it easily.
Ferreira leaves Soares with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Soares looks gassed!
Ferreira connects with a body shot that sends Soares's belly button to the back.
Ferreira jabs Soares to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ferreira clobbers Soares with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Soares is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Soares is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Soares is still on wobbly legs! Can Ferreira finish him?
Marco Ferreira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ferreira scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Ferreira drops Soares with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Soares looks back up at him and smiles so Ferreira waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ferreira feints with a jab and clips Soares right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Soares is sent crashing into the canvas and Ferreira leaps in for the kill! Soares tries to get to his feet but Ferreira is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Soares is in need of a savior and steps in!
