Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johan Morgul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jere Sephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sephens has chosen Infected Mushroom - Becoming Insane as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jere Sephens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Sephens both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Johan Morgul has been cut.
Jere Sephens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sephens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Morgul with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Morgul tries to clinch but Sephens is having none of it.
Sephens shoots in looking for a takedown. Morgul tries to sprawl out of it but Sephens keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morgul manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sephens goes for a takedown attempt but Morgul pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sephens has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Morgul finds it's way round the side to connect with Sephens's head.

Morgul pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Morgul connects with a leg kick. Sephens looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sephens takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sephens closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That kick from Morgul tenderised Sephens's leg. Sephens is trying to keep his angry face on.
Morgul tries to close the distance and clinch but Sephens swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Morgul feints a jab promting Sephens to slip. Morgul then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sephens slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

No joy there for Sephens, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sephens is trying desperately to land a takedown but Morgul is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sephens.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morgul manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sephens manages to get himself to full guard.

Sephens is looking to work some ground and pound but Morgul has wrist control.
Sephens must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Morgul sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sephens's guard.

Sephens has Morgul pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Morgul manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Morgul feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sephenss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A looping hook to the body misses from Morgul. Sephens does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sephens looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Morgul is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sephens's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sephens's back!
