Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregores Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larson Greenwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendez comes to the cage accompanied by Paleface- Helsinki-Shangri-La. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greenwood tries to clinch but Mendez is having none of it.
Greenwood tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mendez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Greenwood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mendez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mendez goes for a takedown attempt but Greenwood pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Greenwood gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Greenwood tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Greenwood is looking to clinch but Mendez is avoiding it.

Larson Greenwood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Greenwood swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Greenwood enables Mendez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Greenwood manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Mendez is squirming around, avoiding Greenwood's attempts to control the action.
Mendez is desperately trying to improve his position but Greenwood has a good base and remains in mount.

Mendez manages to get to full guard.
Mendez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Greenwood defends well.

Mendez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Greenwood wants to hold on but Mendez pushes him away.

Mendez unloads with some shots from mount but Greenwood bucks and avoids them well.
Mendez lands a big shot there that rocks Greenwood but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mendez cracks Greenwood with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
