The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhu shoots for a takedown but Plum saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Plum fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Plum throws a leg kick
and Zhu counters with a leg kick.

and Zhu counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Plum's guard now.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Colt Plum is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Zhu shoots in for a takedown but Plum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Plum pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Colt Plum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zhu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Plum's waist but Plum gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zhu off to one side.

Plum is pressed up against the cage. Zhu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Plum down to the mat. Plum avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Horrible takedown by Zhu or perhaps it was just good defense by Plum which made him look bad.
