Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters moves out of range of the strikes.

Lopez loads up on a big right hand but Masters slips the punch.

Masters feints and then cracks Lopez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lopez down.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lopez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Masters - the referee stops the clock and Lopez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Masters. Lopez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Masters lands a head kick. Lopez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Lopez shoots in for a double leg but Masters sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A head kick by Masters - that's a beauty! Lopez is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Masters can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
