Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers has chosen Anthem of Kings as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

13 - 5 - 2, fighting out of New York, Ken Maddox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marshall Mathers!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddox fails with the takedown.
Mathers tries a head kick but it misses.
Maddox looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Horrible takedown by Maddox or perhaps it was just good defense by Mathers which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Maddox. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Mathers as Maddox shoots in.
Mathers connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mathers throws a nice inside leg kick.
Marshall Mathers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maddox shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mathers as he jumps to the side.
Mathers throws a head kick that misses.
Maddox misses the shot to the body.
Mathers lands with a kick to the temple. Maddox shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Maddox fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mathers slips under a jab.
Maddox shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mathers as he jumps to the side.
Maddox pushes Mathers up against the cage in a clinch.
Mathers wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Maddox prevents Mathers from breaking the clinch.
Maddox breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mathers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Maddox avoids the head kick by Mathers.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maddox fails with a takedown attempt.
Mathers fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Mathers throws a leg kick which misses Maddox's front leg but catches the back leg as Maddox tries to avoid it.
Mathers fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Maddox has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Maddox avoids the head kick by Mathers.
Mathers thumps Maddox with a low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mathers lands a jab to Maddox's midsection.
Maddox takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Maddox is breathing heavily.
Maddox scores with a shot to the body.
Mathers throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Mathers fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Mathers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Maddox tries to clinch but Mathers is having none of it.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Mathers - that will leave a mark!
Sloppy strikes from Mathers. Those never looked like landing.
Mathers throws a good cross that connects.
Maddox tests Mathers's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mathers connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Mathers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maddox moves in looking to clinch but Mathers pushes him off.
Marshall Mathers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mathers goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Maddox is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maddox avoids the head kick by Mathers.
Oh Maddox is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mathers bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Maddox's head backwards.
Whack! Mathers lands a heavy head kick that drops Maddox. The ref tackles Mathers to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Maddox was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Marshall Mathers!
