Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Langdon Dolwilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Ewing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Langdon Dolwilt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buck Ewing!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing with a lazy takedown attempt
and Dolwilt counters with an inside leg kick.
Ewing shoots in and drives through. Dolwilt sprawls well.
Ewing throws a jab but it's blocked by Dolwilt.

Ewing tries to sprawl but Dolwilt drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ewing trying to hold on to Dolwilt's head to control him but Dolwilt postures up.
Dolwilt is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Ewing keeping control of the position.
Dolwilt throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Dolwilt is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Dolwilt decides to stand and escape the position.
Ewing fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dolwilt manages to avoid it.
Ewing misses with a double jab.
Ewing lands with a nice body punch.
Dolwilt takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ewing ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dolwilt moves away.
Dolwilt blocks a jab.
Dolwilt feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ewing's calf.
Ewing takes a kick to the side of the head.

Dolwilt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ewing to the ground. Dolwilt is now in Ewing's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dolwilt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ewing can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dolwilt controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Langdon Dolwilt wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Nice takedown defense from Dolwilt. No joy for Ewing on that attempt.

Ewing tries for a takedown but Dolwilt circles away easily
and Dolwilt counters with a low kick, right behind Ewing 's knee.

Dolwilt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ewing was covering up waiting for the punch and Dolwilt finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ewing wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Dolwilt is now in half guard.

Ewing tries to get to full guard but Dolwilt has control of the leg.

Dolwilt is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ewing is trying to get back to full guard.
Ewing is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Still in half guard, Dolwilt seems content to control.

Dolwilt prevents Ewing from improving his position.

Dolwilt decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
A swing and a miss from Dolwilt.
Ewing misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dolwilt.
Ewing swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A right-left combo lands from Dolwilt.
Buck Ewing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Ewing. Those never looked like landing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ewing throws a leg kick that is checked
and Dolwilt counters with a good, hard body kick but Ewing shrugs it off.
A chopping leg kick lands by Dolwilt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ewing misses with a takedown attempt
and Dolwilt counters with a flying knee. Nice.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dolwilt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dolwilt decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ewing, up you get!

Ewing throws a hook but Dolwilt blocks it.
Ewing lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ewing.

Ewing closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dolwilt circles away.
Ewing is breathing heavily.

Ewing throws a jab when Dolwilt was well out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ewing shoots in and drives through. Dolwilt sprawls well.

Ewing throws an overhand right that lands on Dolwilt's shoulder, as Dolwilt tries to avoid the shot.

Ewing tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dolwilt was well out of range. Poor timing from Ewing.

Dolwilt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dolwilt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ewing fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dolwilt manages to avoid it.

Ewing tries to pull guard but Dolwilt won't allow it.
Dolwilt looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Dolwilt gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Dolwilt is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dolwilt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ewing for as long as he can get away with.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dolwilt is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Ewing is trying to control but can't.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Ewing fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dolwilt shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ewing eats them both and turns towards Dolwilt to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Ewing throws a right and a left that Dolwilt avoids nicely.
Ewing dives in and grabs Dolwilt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dolwilt pushes down on Ewing's head and hops out.

Dolwilt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ewing looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dolwilt is staying tight to Ewing's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Ewing stops Dolwilt from passing to mount.

Dolwilt decides to stand back up. Dolwilt steps back and let's Ewing get back to his feet.

Dolwilt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ewing, pushing him back against the cage.

Ewing is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Dolwilt rather than just go for the knockout.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ewing is defended easily by Dolwilt.
Buck Ewing has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ewing ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Ewing takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Ewing gets tackled into the cage by Dolwilt. Dolwilt maintains the clinch.
Ewing looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Langdon Dolwilt is winning the standup battle so far.

Dolwilt has closed the distance and engaged Ewing in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Ewing's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Dolwilt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dolwilt moves into the clinch.

Dolwilt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dolwilt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Dolwilt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ewing's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dolwilt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dolwilt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
