PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nes Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christoph Stenner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stenner has chosen Escapado - Freiraum as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christoph Stenner!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stenner clinches with his opponent.

Stenner is trying to trip Quick. He has hold of a leg but Quick is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Stenner persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stenner with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Stenner trying to stand up but can't free himself from Quick's guard.
Quick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Stenner would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Quick is looking to stand up but Stenner isn't so interested in that idea.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Quick holds on and takes a little breather.
Quick throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Stenner stops Quick from standing up.
Stenner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Stenner lands a big uppercut and Quick crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Quick looks OK. Stenner waves Quick back to his feet!

It looks like Nes Quick has been cut.
Stenner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quick closes the distance and clinches up with Stenner, looking for a takedown. Quick pushes Stenner against the cage but Stenner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Stenner turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Stenner manages to end up in side control.
Stenner is putting a hurting on Quick here, landing some big shots from side control.
Quick is breathing heavily.
Stenner working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stenner is looking to take a break and control but Quick is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stenner in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Stenner lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Quick down.

Stenner crunches a massive hammerfist down on Quick - he's out! Stenner Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!
