PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Fenili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronny Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machine falls off balance throwing a combination

Machine is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fenili is controlling him.

Machine has momentary wrist control but Fenili slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Machine wants to stand but Fenili is controlling the position.

Fenili postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Fenili thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Machine wants to stand but Fenili is controlling the position.
Fenili stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Machine swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Machine can't keep his opponent in guard - Fenili advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Fenili is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Machine is just riding it out for now. Fenili eventually gives up the hold.

Fenili is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Machine is in trouble now - Fenili has advanced to mount!
Machine looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fenili is working for a guillotine from mount but Machine frees his head quite easily.

Fenili has control of Machine's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Machine regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Machine stops Fenili from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Fenili wants to finish this one by submission but Machine is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fenili.
Fenili is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Machine is in real trouble.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Machine is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Fenili has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Machine! Can he survive? No! He's out! Fenili gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
