Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Redd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. We Will Rock You kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Redd!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redd moves out of range of the strikes.
Oliver throws a right and a left that both miss.
Redd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oliver's waist but Oliver gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Redd off to one side.
Redd shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oliver defends it nicely.
Oliver loads up on a big right hand but Redd slips the punch.
Redd with a lazy takedown attempt
and Oliver counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Redd!
James Oliver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Redd.
Oliver can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Redd is looking to escape.
Redd tries to lock up and control but Oliver gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Redd is trying to escape the mount.
Oliver avoids the attempt from Redd to control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Redd manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Redd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oliver doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Redd is tightening it up a little... Oliver has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Oliver reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Oliver taps out! Nice BJJ there by Redd!

In his post fight interview, Jake Redd started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
