Black is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by AC/DC - Back in Black. Lucas Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lucas Black!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt throws a jab when Black was well out of range.
Hunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Black manages to avoid it.
Black misses with a hook
and Hunt counters with a right hand to the body.
Black lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hunt takes a step back to recover.
Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt throws a body punch but Black moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hunt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Black ducks under a wild hook from Hunt.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hunt crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Black - the referee stops the clock and Hunt gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Black. Hunt manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The crowd cheers as Black lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hunt doesn't seem phased though.
Hunt misses with a body shot.
Hunt takes a swing at Black's ribcage but misses.

Black gets caught napping as Hunt dives in and scores a takedown. Black manages to retain guard.
Hunt is breathing heavily.
Black keeping moving, preventing Hunt from controlling successfully.
Hunt forces his way into half guard.
Hunt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Black knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Hunt is keen to just control but Black is a slippery customer.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hunt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Black does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hunt wants to control the pace but Black is squirming around nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hunt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Black manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hunt has Black in his guard.
Hunt seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Mike Hunt has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Black takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Mike Hunt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Black parries the strikes from Hunt easily there. Hunt is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Black to escape.

Hunt passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Black!

Hunt controlling the position easily from mount.
Hunt lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Black holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hunt tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Black is squirming around, avoiding Hunt's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hunt misses with an uppercut. Black saw that one coming.
Hunt scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Lucas Black seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Black swings for the body but Hunt moves out of range.
Black takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Black avoids the body shot from Hunt.
Hunt chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Black can pounce on him.

Black swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Black tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hunt was well out of range. Poor timing from Black.

Hunt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Black's waist but Black gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hunt off to one side.

Black throws a wild body kick that Hunt sees coming a mile off.

Black uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hunt.

Hunt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hunt lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Black down.
Hunt is looking to take a break and control but Black is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mike Hunt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hunt staying calm.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hunt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
