The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egorov slips a straight right by Payne.
Egorov looks to clinch
and Payne counters with a left to the body.
Egorov is breathing heavily.
Payne feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Egorovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Payne throws a series of punches but Egorov moves out of range.

Payne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Payne is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

A jab-cross combination lands for Payne and sends Egorov crashing to the mat! Payne follows him down to the mat - Egorov regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Egorov is rocked!

It looks like Sergei Egorov has been cut.

Payne maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Egorov could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Payne has cracked it and Egorov is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Payne!
