Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Raprap Junior Almost Perfect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Kier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raprap Junior Almost Perfect has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Raprap Junior Almost Perfect!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kier fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Almost Perfect, pushing him back against the cage.
Kier goes for a takedown attempt but Almost Perfect pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kier changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Almost Perfect looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kier decides to stand back up.

Kier bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kier tries for a kimura but Almost Perfect is defending well.

Kier tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Kier is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Almost Perfect is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Almost Perfect is pushing Kier's head away, looking to escape. Kier manages to hold on to the position though.

Let's hope that Kier has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Kier works to advance to full mount. Almost Perfect defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Kier jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Almost Perfect is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Almost Perfect and Kier has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kier lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Don Kier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Almost Perfect tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Kier counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Almost Perfect's guard now.
Almost Perfect can't keep his opponent in guard - Kier advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Almost Perfect looks like he's trying to stand up.
Still in half guard, Kier seems content to control.
Almost Perfect is refusing to be controlled, as Kier sits in half guard.

Kier has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Don Kier has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Kier tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kier turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kier manages to end up in side control.
Almost Perfect seems a little lost for a moment, as Kier dominates the positioning.

Kier is looking to take a break and control but Almost Perfect is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kier with the ground and pound but Almost Perfect regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kier is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Don Kier hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Almost Perfect tries to clinch

so Kier counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kier passes Almost Perfect's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Kier is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Almost Perfect doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kier.

Kier seems to be working for a kimura but Almost Perfect defends the submission attempt.

Kier wants to lay and pray for a moment but Almost Perfect keeps working.
Kier thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Almost Perfect's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Almost Perfect wants to get back to full guard but Kier has passed into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

I've got Kier winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
