Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ramsey Nijem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vicente Otubro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Otubro's choice of entrance music: Smthng 2 Die 4. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otubro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Otubro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Otubro misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nijem bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We're going to have a standup here because Ramsey Nijem wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Well, if Nijem is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nijem seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Otubro for as long as he can get away with.

Nijem throws an overhand right that lands on Otubro's shoulder, as Otubro tries to avoid the shot.
Otubro uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Vicente Otubro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Otubro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nijem sprawls well. Nijem wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Otubro gets slowly back to his feet.

Nijem shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nijem showed some decent athleticism there.

Otubro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Nijem stays in close to Otubro's body and controls the position.
Ramsey Nijem is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Nijem has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Otubro shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nijem manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nijem holds on and takes a little breather.

Nijem manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Otubro on his heels. He'll look to pass Otubro's guard now, I'm sure.
