Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Bunkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Assisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bunkers comes to the cage accompanied by Bully. Assisi has chosen In The Morning as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Bunkers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francis Assisi!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Assisi looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bunkers holds on and takes a little breather.
Bunkers wants to stand but Assisi is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Assisi shoots in for a double leg but Bunkers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Assisi shoots in looking for a takedown. Bunkers tries to sprawl out of it but Assisi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bunkers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Assisi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bunkers gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bob Bunkers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francis Assisi.

We're going to have a standup here because Bob Bunkers wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Assisi has his foot on Bunkers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bunkers works his way back into a safe position though.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bunkers pushes down on Assisi's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bunkers is taking a breather. Assisi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Assisi is refusing to be controlled, as Bunkers sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Francis Assisi's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bunkers throws a nice head kick!
Bob Bunkers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bunkers leaves Assisi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bunkers dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Assisi. That did some damage!
Assisi shoots for a double leg takedown but Bunkers sprawls well. He's pushed Assisi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Assisi is trying to trip Bunkers. He has hold of a leg but Bunkers is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Assisi persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Assisi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Assisi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Assisi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Assisi is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Bunkers rolls with it to try and escape but Assisi cranks on the arm and Bunkers is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Francis Assisi!
Francis Assisi decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
