Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Country (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Wilhelm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Victor Wilhelm!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Country looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wilhelm is fending him off so far but Country persists. Nope, Wilhelm circles away and we're back to standing.
A jab from Wilhelm finds it's way through Country's defenses.

Country wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Country takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Country trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Wilhelm doesn't escape.
Country looking to hold on to the position here but Wilhelm rolls and ends up regaining guard.

Country passes Wilhelm's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wilhelm is not content to let Country control the position.
Wilhelm wants to control but Country is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Country content to control rather than advance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Country has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
