Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nickolas Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mishima has chosen Super Troopers German Techno as his entrance music. On his way into the ring it seems that Nickolas Bryant has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nickolas Bryant seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinya Mishima!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mishima blocks a low kick nicely.

Mishima shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bryant's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mishima wants to control from the top but Bryant keeps moving.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Mishima stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bryant swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bryant looking for a sweep. Not yet Bryant, not yet.

Mishima is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bryant looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mishima is one step ahead there.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Shinya Mishima hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Bryant lands a right hook to the body.
Mishima shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Bryant counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bryant stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bryant wants it to stay on the feet.
Nickolas Bryant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinya Mishima.
Mishima ducks right into an uppercut from Bryant.
Bryant lands a nice shot to the body.

Bryant closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mishima's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mishima looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Mishima isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bryant stacks Mishima on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bryant!

Bryant misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Bryant fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Mishima is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bryant connects with a decent elbow.
Mishima is looking to reverse the position.
Mishima takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Mishima is rocked!
Mishima is trying to control Bryant's posture but Bryant avoids it.
Bryant trying to control the action but Mishima is working from the bottom.
Bryant looks up at the clock and then as Mishima takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bryant smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Mishima is still in real trouble! Can Bryant finish him?

Bryant cracks Mishima with a big right hand but Mishima just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mishima is looking for a sweep.
Mishima seems to have recovered his senses.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Mishima takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Mishima is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bryant's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Bryant throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bryant is looking to take a break and control but Mishima is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mishima is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bryant pulls his head out easily.
Bryant passes to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bryant ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mishima moves away.
Mishima slips a straight right by Bryant.
Mishima tries to score with a low kick but Bryant moves his leg out of the way.
Bryant tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mishima was well out of range. Poor timing from Bryant.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mishima checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bryant throws a looping overhand right but Mishima ducks down to avoid it.

Bryant closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mishima wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bryant keeps working.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mishima is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bryant has managed to free his arm - good work.

Mishima looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mishima has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bryant defend it? Mishima steps over the head and cranks it - Bryant is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mishima!
