Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Badr Ramsay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiro Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramsay comes to the cage accompanied by Protect Ya Neck by Wu Tang Clan. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Badr Ramsay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hiro Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Aoki looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Aoki looks to land a right hand but Ramsay moved out of range.
Ramsay keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Aoki.
Ramsay shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hiro Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramsay shoots in looking for a takedown but Aoki manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ramsay's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Aoki throws a left and a right that both miss

and Ramsay counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Aoki is trying to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aoki is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ramsay lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Aoki down.
Aoki tries to buck Ramsay off but Ramsay is having none of it.
Aoki is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ramsay asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Aoki tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A lull in the action here as Ramsay stalls from top position.
Aoki is looking for a sweep.
Ramsay staying calm.
Aoki is trying to improve his position.
Aoki manages to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ramsay trying to control from half guard but Aoki is working away.
Aoki trying to control from the bottom.

Badr Ramsay has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A slow jab from Aoki misses its intended target.
Ramsay shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Aoki as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Badr Ramsay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aoki throws a lazy head kick
and Ramsay counters with a good low kick that Aoki was not able to check.
Aoki connects with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A clash of legs there as Ramsay blocks the low kick.
Ramsay moves in looking to clinch but Aoki pushes him off.
Aoki misses with an uppercut
and Ramsay counters with an inside leg kick.

Aoki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Aoki showed some decent athleticism there.

Aoki is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Aoki throws a strike but Ramsay avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Aoki trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramsay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Aoki wants to stand and escape but instead Ramsay has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Aoki tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Aoki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ramsay controls the pace.
Aoki looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Aoki looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Ramsay puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Still in half guard, Ramsay seems content to control.
Aoki is looking to improve his position.
Ramsay lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice strikes from Ramsay there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aoki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ramsay takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Badr Ramsay will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ramsay on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Aoki throws an off balance right hand

and Ramsay counters with a single leg into guard. Aoki didn't expect that.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aoki can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ramsay controlling from the top position.
Aoki has momentary wrist control but Ramsay slips an elbow through the middle.
Aoki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ramsay stays in close to Aoki's body and controls the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ramsay stands and steps away. Aoki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ramsay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramsay looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aoki is fending him off so far but Ramsay persists. Nope, Aoki circles away and we're back to standing.
Ramsay tries to clinch
and Aoki counters with a straight right hand.
Aoki is pawing at Ramsay, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Ramsay's nose. Ramsay is badly hurt! Aoki pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Ramsay tries desperately to hold on but Aoki is relentless in his assault! As Ramsay receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Aoki away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hiro Aoki!
