Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Glebov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Connor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Glebov.

Glebov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Connor, pushing him back against the cage.

Glebov breaks the clinch.

Connor gets caught flat footed, as Glebov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Glebov is working Connor over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Connor is pulling down on Glebov's head. It's preventing any offense from Glebov, at least for the moment.
Connor is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connor seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Connor misses with a hook. Glebov ducked under it nicely.
Connor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Glebov.
Glebov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Glebov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Connor pulls Glebov in close to his closed guard and prevents Glebov from doing any damage or advancing position.

Connor pushes Glebov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Connor tries to bum rush Glebov with a series of wild strikes but Glebov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Glebov scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Glebov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Glebov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Connor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

John Connor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

John Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Glebov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Glebov closes the distance looking for a takedown. Connor stuffs it but Glebov still has hold of him. Glebov picks Connor up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Glebov slams Connor to the floor and that's really hurt Connor - he doesn't know where he is! Glebov throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
