The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duff manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Speedy on his heels. He'll look to pass Speedy's guard now, I'm sure.

Speedy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Speedy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Duff drops back looking for a leg! Speedy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Speedy manages to kick Duff off! Duff jumps back into Speedy's guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Speedy with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Duff can't handle though.

Speedy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Duff is aware though and is defending well.
Duff slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Duff has hold of Speedy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Speedy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Duff cranks the arm and Speedy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Speedy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
