Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Markus Essex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hendo Calrission (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Essex comes to the cage accompanied by The Boys are Back in Town-Thin Lizzy. Essex is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. The key to victory for Markus Essex has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calrission forces Essex back against the cage and clinches.
Essex is breathing heavily.
Essex on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Calrission escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Calrission showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Essex.
A cross from Calrission lands.
Calrission has closed the distance and engaged Essex in a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Calrission throws an elbow but misses.
Calrission gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Essex regains guard.
Calrission thows a big elbow that misses.
Calrission stands up from Essex's guard - Calrission perhaps looking for a knockout.
Calrission throws a body punch but Essex moves out of range.

Calrission has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Calrission shoots in and bounces Essex off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Calrission slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Essex managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Calrission.
Essex pushes Calrission away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Calrission gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Calrission thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Essex knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Calrission on the ground.
Calrission throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Calrission tries to score with some ground and pound. Essex controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.
Calrission is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Essex is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Calrission tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Calrission wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Essex, who protects the arm well.
Calrission in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Essex is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
