The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hayate.
Evans looks to land a left hand but Hayate moved out of range nicely.
Evans keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hayate wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Evans ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hayate moves away.
Hayate throws a hook but Evans blocks it.
Hayate connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hayate tries to work over Evans 's front leg with a kick but Evans checks it.
Marcus Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hayate lands the left hand.
Hayate wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hayate throws out a powerful jab.
Hayate thuds his right hand into Evans 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Hayate throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Evans tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hayate was well out of range. Poor timing from Evans .
Evans tries a low kick but Hayate avoids it.
Hayate stuns Evans with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hayate cracks Evans with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Hayate counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Evans thinking.
Evans looks gassed!
Evans throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Evans misses with a series of wild punches.
Evans tries a head kick but it misses.
Evans throws a low kick but Hayate avoids it.
Hayate looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
The fighters circling - Evans throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Evans misses with a body kick.
Hayate dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hayate scores with a crisp jab that stopped Evans in his tracks.
Evans blocks the body kick.
Evans tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Evans throws a sloppy head kick
and Hayate counters with a nice uppercut.
Hayate throws a body punch but Evans moves out of range.
Hayate throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Evans on the side of the head.
Evans is rocked!
Hayate Rushes Evans and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Evans is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Hayate Piles on the pressure and Evans crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Tatsuyo Hayate retains his light heavyweight title!
A very excited looking Tatsuyo Hayate rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
