PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shang Tsung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Jamse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsung comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat Theme Remix. Jamse is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Juice & Bun-B - Cant crush my Cool. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamse fails with a takedown attempt.
Tsung lands a right hook to the body.
Tsung lands with an overhand left.
Tsung sizes up Jamse with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jamse shoots in but Tsung avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jamse shoots in but no luck this time.
Shang Tsung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sid Jamse.
Nice takedown defense from Tsung. No joy for Jamse on that attempt.

Tsung wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Tsung lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Tsung throws a series of strikes that have Jamse backpedaling.
Jamse on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Tsung lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tsung lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jamse at a distance.

Jamse looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Tsung slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Tsung lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jamse!
Jamse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tsung. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tsung can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jamse is looking to escape.

I really don't envy Jamse right now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tsung slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Tsung doesn't have the hooks in and Jamse manages to turn into his guard.
Tsung pulls Jamse in close to prevent any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tsung lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Sid Jamse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tsung lands with an uppercut that bounces Jamse off the cage and back into rage.
Jamse closes the distance and clinches up with Tsung, looking for a takedown. Jamse pushes Tsung against the cage but Tsung circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jamse shoots in and drives through. Tsung sprawls well.
Tsung swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jamse.
Tsung lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jamse fails with a takedown attempt.
Shang Tsung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sid Jamse.
Tsung throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jamse looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tsung digs a good body shot into Jamse's ribs.
Jamse stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tsung.
Jamse misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sid Jamse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jamse shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tsung but Tsung pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tsung moves into range and connects with a jab.
Horrible takedown by Jamse or perhaps it was just good defense by Tsung which made him look bad.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jamse.
Jamse tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tsung swivels and escapes.
Jamse will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tsung scores with a one two! Jamse had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Tsung comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Tsung jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

A nice combination there by Tsung.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tsung cracks Jamse with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Jamse goes for an armbar but Tsung turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Tsung.

Tsung is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Jamse with him. Jamse is trying to defend but Tsung has an arm under the chin now! Jamse grimaces and is forced to tap out!
