Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Hogin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zapp Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogin's entrance music is real american. A fine choice. Brannigan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jackyl -- The Lumberjack kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zapp Brannigan!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hogin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hogin trying to control the position from guard on top but Brannigan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hogin with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hogin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hogin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brannigan is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hogin is looking to work some ground and pound but Brannigan has wrist control.

Hogin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brannigan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brannigan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brannigan!
Hogin wants to control but Brannigan postures up.
Hogin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brannigan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Hogin is looking for a triangle but Brannigan pushes his legs off easily.
Brannigan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hogin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brannigan's guard.
Brannigan has control of Hogin's left arm, preventing Hogin from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hogin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brannigan's head.

Hogin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brannigan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hogin.

Hogin wants to pass the guard but Brannigan is keeping the position.
Hogin looking to sit in guard and control but Brannigan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Brannigan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Zapp Brannigan was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Brannigan throws a head kick but Hogin moves out of range.

Brannigan avoids the body shot from Hogin.
Brannigan throws a wild body kick that Hogin sees coming a mile off.
Brannigan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hulk Hogin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hogin throws a series of punches but Brannigan moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hogin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brannigan has time to react.
Brannigan misses with a takedown
and Hogin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hogin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hogin misses with a wild body shot.
Hogin throws a head kick that misses.
Brannigan throws a chopping leg kick but Hogin manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Hogin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Hogin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brannigan was covering up waiting for the punch and Hogin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hogin stands up over Brannigan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hogin throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hogin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hogin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brannigan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hogin has Brannigan in his guard.

Hogin manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Hogin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hogin shoots for a double leg takedown but Brannigan sprawls well. He's pushed Hogin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brannigan stuffs the takedown.
Hogin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brannigan as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hulk Hogin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hogin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brannigan swivels and escapes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hogin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Brannigan connects with a body shot that sends Hogin's belly button to the back.
Hogin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brannigan can pounce on him.
Brannigan fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Brannigan shoots for a double leg takedown but Hogin sprawls well. He's pushed Brannigan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brannigan lands the left hand.

It looks like Hulk Hogin has been cut.
Hogin shoots in but Brannigan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Both fighters circling a little - Brannigan finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Brannigan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hogin's sensitive parts.

Brannigan lands a big head kick that sends Hogin tumbling to the mat! Brannigan takes a step backwards and waves Hogin back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Brannigan lands an uppercut, right on the button! Hogin tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
