Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keisuke Honda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Black Coleman !
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Honda sprawls well. Honda wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Coleman gets slowly back to his feet.
Coleman throws a big shot that misses.
Coleman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Honda counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Coleman !
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Coleman is trying to stand back up but Honda is controlling him
Honda will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Honda wants to pass the guard but Coleman is defending well.
Coleman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Coleman is refusing to be controlled, as Honda sits in half guard.
Coleman controlling the position for now.
Coleman is looking to improve his position.

Honda is keen to just control but Coleman is a slippery customer.
Coleman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Coleman works his way to full guard. Good work.
Coleman looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Honda trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Honda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Coleman wants to sweep but no luck.
Honda is working Coleman over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Honda stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Coleman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Honda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Coleman looking for a sweep. Not yet Coleman , not yet.
Honda passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Coleman on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Coleman prevents Honda from moving into mount.
Honda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coleman is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Coleman wants to get back to his feet.
Honda is looking to take a break and control but Coleman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Coleman pushes Honda away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Honda gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Coleman tries to bench press Honda off him but Honda keeps the position.
Honda tries to advance to mount but Coleman denies him.
An elbow from Honda crashes against the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Honda creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Coleman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Honda wants to control but Coleman is keeping him busy.
Honda tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Honda taking a breather here.
Coleman is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Honda has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Honda throws a strike aimed at the side of Coleman 's head but Coleman avoids it well.
Honda working the head and body with strikes.
Coleman is looking to regain half guard here but Honda keeps moving and retains side control.
Coleman has one of Honda's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Coleman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Honda wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Honda lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Honda tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Honda lands a decent elbow from side control.
Coleman sneaks back into half guard.
Coleman is refusing to be controlled, as Honda sits in half guard.
Coleman is trying to stand up here but Honda is controlling him well.
Honda trying to control from half guard but Coleman is working away.
Coleman tries to kick Honda off but Honda keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Honda is looking to take a break and control but Coleman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Keisuke Honda.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Honda napping and manages to drive through into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keisuke Honda dominated that round.
That's time! Honda's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Coleman is defended easily by Honda.
Honda moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Black Coleman has been cut.
Honda scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Coleman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Honda finds it's way round the side to connect with Coleman 's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Honda leaves Coleman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Honda throws a right and a left that both miss.
Coleman is breathing heavily.
Coleman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Honda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice uppercut lands for Honda. That snapped Coleman 's head back.
Honda shoots in for a takedown but Coleman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Honda's jab looks to have found its range, popping Coleman under the eye.
Honda lands with an uppercut that bounces Coleman off the cage and back into range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Coleman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Honda manages to avoid it.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Honda as he jumps to the side.
Keisuke Honda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Coleman .
Coleman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coleman .

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coleman throws a poor cross that misses
and Coleman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A cross from Honda lands.
Coleman gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Honda gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Coleman is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Keisuke Honda!
