Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Bach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andriy Kashenio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bach comes to the cage accompanied by care bears countdown. Andriy Kashenio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karl Bach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andriy Kashenio!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kashenio tries for a takedown but Bach sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kashenio closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bach works his way to full guard. Good work.
Bach is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kashenio gets to his feet. Bach looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Karl Bach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bach tries to bum rush Kashenio with a series of wild strikes but Kashenio uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kashenio tries for a takedown but Bach sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Karl Bach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andriy Kashenio.

Bach throws a sloppy head kick and Kashenio moves out of range easily.
Kashenio tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bach swivels and escapes.

Bach lands a nice looking body shot.
Bach tries to clinch there but Kashenio circles away.
Kashenio shoots in looking for a takedown. Bach tries to sprawl out of it but Kashenio keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bach manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bach lands a slapping body shot.
Karl Bach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kashenio tries to keep at a distance but Bach has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kashenio drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bach pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kashenio shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bach but Bach pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kashenio misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kashenio doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bach throws a body punch but Kashenio moves out of range.
Bach lands with a nice combination. Kashenio backs away looking to recover.
Bach throws a head kick but Kashenio moves out of range.
Kashenio closes the distance and clinches up with Bach, looking for a takedown. Kashenio pushes Bach against the cage but Bach circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bach misses the shot to the body.

Kashenio shoots in and bounces Bach off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bach trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Kashenio stands and steps away. Bach gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Kashenio blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kashenio wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bach digs a right hand underneath Kashenio's ribcage. Kashenio let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Kashenio tries to score a body lock takedown but Bach shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Bach unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kashenio lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kashenio stalling in the clinch but Bach improves position.

Kashenio drags the fight down to the ground.
Bach prevents Kashenio from getting back to his feet.
Bach controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bach throws and elbow that misses. Kashenio uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bach's guard. Nice move by Kashenio!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kashenio wanted to stand there but Bach had control of the position.
Bach might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bach wants to sweep but no luck.

Kashenio drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kashenio jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kashenio trying to control the position from guard on top but Bach is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kashenio fails with a takedown attempt.

Kashenio moves into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bach gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kashenio.
Kashenio is trying to maintain a safe position but Bach gets an underhook and turns Kashenio into the cage.
Kashenio wants to break free but Bach has control.
Bach prevents Kashenio from breaking the clinch.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kashenio will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bach up against the cage.

Kashenio has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bach uses from the top position.

Bach slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Kashenio.
Kashenio is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kashenio is doing well to control the position and prevent Bach from advancing to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karl Bach dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Good leg kick by Bach there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bach connects with the punch.
Bach digs a good body shot into Kashenio's ribs.
Bach cracks the inside of Kashenio's front leg.
Bach lands a jab to Kashenio's midsection.
Kashenio will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bach closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Bach scores with a nice short uppercut.
Bach is pressed up against the cage. Kashenio has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bach down to the mat. Bach avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kashenio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bach is fending him off so far but Kashenio persists. Nope, Bach circles away and we're back to standing.

Bach sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Bach keeping moving, preventing Kashenio from controlling successfully.
Bach wants to stand up but Kashenio is controlling him.
Kashenio stands and throws Bach's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kashenio decides to stand back up. Kashenio steps back and let's Bach get back to his feet.
Bach is looking to wear down Kashenio with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Bach throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kashenio throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kashenio fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bach throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kashenio fails to land the takedown.
Bach fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bach slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bach's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Bach duly obliges.
Karl Bach is winning the standup battle so far.
Bach lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


Kashenio is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bach throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bach scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kashenio in his tracks.
Kashenio is still on wobbly legs! Can Bach finish him?
Bach walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kashenio drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Bach swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kashenio's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl Bach!
