Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mirzai Navozov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asta Lavista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mirzai Navozov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Asta Lavista!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Navozov lands with a nice combination. Lavista backs away looking to recover.
Lavista takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lavista on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Navozov. Navozov obviously looking to wear him down.
Lavista takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lavista crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Navozov - the referee stops the clock and Lavista gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Navozov. Lavista manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Navozov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lavista with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Lavista is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lavista is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Navozov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lavista connects with a decent elbow.
Navozov is breathing heavily.

Lavista has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Navozov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lavista yanks on the arm and Navozov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lavista.
