Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Chis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Heemeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Big Chis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marvin Heemeyer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heemeyer attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Heemeyer clinches with his opponent.

Chis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Heemeyer rushes Chis and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Heemeyer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Chis wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Heemeyer turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Heemeyer manages to end up in side control.
Chis is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Heemeyer has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Chis tries to improve position but can't.
What's Chis going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Heemeyer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chis has escaped the position, nice work there.
Heemeyer looks up at the clock and then as Chis takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Heemeyer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Chis explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Chis.
Chis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Chis throws a right and a left that Heemeyer avoids nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Heemeyer. No joy for Chis on that attempt.

and Heemeyer counters with a shoot takedown. Chis fights it but they end up in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Heemeyer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Chis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Heemeyer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Heemeyer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Chis keeping busy on the bottom but Heemeyer has passed one foot through into half guard.
Heemeyer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chis keeps working.
Heemeyer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marvin Heemeyer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Chis looks to clinch

and Heemeyer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Chis!
Chis is desperately trying to improve his position but Heemeyer has a good base and remains in mount.
Chis sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Heemeyer is nestled in close to Chis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Chis is looking to escape.
Chis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Heemeyer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Heemeyer's back!
Heemeyer turns into Chis and is now in his guard.

Chis has his foot on Heemeyer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Heemeyer works his way back into a safe position though.
Heemeyer wants to pass the guard but Chis is keeping the position.
Chis wants to get back to his feet but Heemeyer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Chis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Heemeyer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Chis wants to stand up but Heemeyer is controlling him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Heemeyer avoids a kick to the body.
Heemeyer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Chis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Chis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Heemeyer won't be happy with that.
Heemeyer is looking for a sweep.

Chis has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Heemeyer misses with a head kick.
Chis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Heemeyer clinches with his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Chis has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Heemeyer clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Heemeyer's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Heemeyer staying busy and making it hard for Chis to control.

Chis has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Heemeyer is in real trouble here. Chis gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Heemeyer is tapping out! Chis wins by rear naked choke!
