Minami comes to the ring accompanied by I'm Turning Japanese by The Vapors. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minami keeps the fight on the outside.

Minami lands a big head kick that sends Lewis tumbling to the mat! Minami takes a step backwards and waves Lewis back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lewis is rocked!

It looks like Leonard Lewis has been cut.
Lewis bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Minami's head backwards.
Lewis is still on wobbly legs! Can Minami finish him?
Minami digs a good body shot into Lewis's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lewis tries to bum rush Minami with a series of wild strikes but Minami uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Minami misses with a left hand
and Lewis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lewis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Minami paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lewis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lewis seems to have recovered his senses.

Lewis moves into the clinch successfully.
Minami wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lewis is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Minami is defending well for now.
Minami avoids the elbow strike from Lewis, against the ropes.
Lewis tries a body shot but Minami blocks it.

Minami breaks from the clinch.
Minami throws a series of punches but Lewis moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis jabs Minami to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lewis throws a poor cross that misses
and Minami counters with a huge left! Lewis is in big trouble! He's backing up but Minami isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Lewis from any more damage. A dominating finish by Minami!
