Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darth Penguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Inoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darth Penguin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Antonio Inoki's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Darth Penguin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Antonio Inoki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penguin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Inoki to the mat! Inoki manages to get full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Penguin is pushing down on Inoki's leg trying to pass to half guard. Inoki is fighting to maintain full guard but Penguin has managed to sneak the leg through.
Inoki wants to improve his position but Penguin is controlling well.
Penguin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Penguin looking to sit in guard and control but Inoki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Inoki has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Penguin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Inoki.
Penguin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Penguin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Inoki can do anything to dispel that myth.

Penguin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Inoki landing rabbit punches to the side of Penguin's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
Inoki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penguin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Penguin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Inoki has managed to free his arm - good work.
Penguin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Inoki's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Penguin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Inoki is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Inoki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Penguin, pushing him back against the cage.
Inoki is looking to break free of the clinch but Penguin has double underhooks.

Penguin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Inoki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Penguin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Inoki has managed to get both his arms back between Penguin's legs - danger averted.

Penguin shoots in looking for a takedown but Inoki manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Penguin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Inoki's jab looks to have found its range, popping Penguin under the eye.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Inoki connects with a nice short shot to Penguin's temple.

I think Inoki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
