The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stiches gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lopez Nunez throwing strikes from guard but Stiches blocks nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lopez Nunez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stiches is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lopez Nunez, into his guard.

Lopez Nunez is looking for a triangle here but Stiches uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Lopez Nunez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Stiches is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lopez Nunez's shoulder. That is not cool.

Stiches decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Stiches moves in looking to clinch but Lopez Nunez pushes him off.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lopez Nunez is defended easily by Stiches.
Stiches displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lopez Nunez.

Stiches throws a leg kick which misses Lopez Nunez's front leg but catches the back leg as Lopez Nunez tries to avoid it.

Stiches digs a right hand underneath Lopez Nunez's ribcage. Lopez Nunez let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Stiches has Lopez Nunez pressed against the cage. He pushes Lopez Nunez back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Stiches throws a beautiful elbow that sends Lopez Nunez crashing to the floor! Stiches piles on the pressure with more strikes! Lopez Nunez is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
